How to choose MA tool and the process of introducing it will be helpful!
Please introduce your company
Mr. Iijima: Tochigi Brex Co., Ltd. is a company that runs the professional basketball team "Utsunomiya Brex". The team was founded in 2007, and the professional basketball league "B.LEAGUE" is currently entering its fourth season. Utsunomiya Brex (at that time, Link Tochigi Brex) started the B league in the 2016-17 season and became the champion that year.
Within that organization, I am in charge of digital marketing, system / network related maintenance, and work efficiency improvement using IT. Furthermore, we use BowNow as a marketing tool to approach sponsor companies.
[Points for selection] Simplicity around necessary functions is the deciding factor for implementation
Why did you choose BowNow among the many MA tools?
Mr. Iijima: The B League has publicly announced that it will actively adopt digital measures in the professional sports world, and Tochigi Brex, as a company that leads the industry, had a desire to take the lead.
Under such circumstances, I went to the BowNow seminar and had a great deal of understanding with the explanation, which was a great opportunity to think about MA in earnest.
I was impressed with the concept of BowNow offering only the functions that were really necessary at a low price. Other companies’ MA tools, such as tools made overseas, have many functions that can be used, but not all of them can be applied from the start. As I was involved in system development it's easy to understand, but providing a wide range of features when all are not necessary - and at expensive pricing - does nothing but satisfy the vendors themselves.
Our company wanted to start small rather than suddenly spend a large sum on digital measures. BowNow was a tool that was very easy to start, had no unnecessary functions, is simple, and is at a reasonable price.
What challenges did you feel before introducing BowNow?
Mr. Iijima: Utsunomiya Brex has been proposing sponsorships to companies based in Tochigi. My thinking was about how to efficiently approach companies that are interested in our team.
[Measures / usage] Proposing sponsors to companies that have visited the site
What are you doing with BowNow?
Mr. Iijima: We have just started, but we first analyze companies that are visiting our website, and then individually approach the companies that are likely able to create a proposal for. Until now, we would approach individuals while being completely uncertain whether or not they would be interested. However, once someone looks at our website and making a phone call based on that, is a very different psychological hurdle.
In the future, we would like to expand the sponsor introduction page, etc., so that the behavior of interested people can be visualized more clearly.
[Future outlook] Challenging B-2-C consumer analysis in the future.
How would you like to pursue marketing measures in the future?
Mr. Iijima: First of all, I would like to master BowNow and create a system where employees have a firm understanding of use.
Also, since there are few things that can be avoided in web marketing, I think in the future we will need to analyze consumer behavior and conduct marketing measures aimed at consumers.
[Customer's voice] The ease of introduction is different. It was good that we were able to get good results during the free period
Mr. Iijima: Many of the tools of other companies also have a free trial period, but they require various data processing before it can be used for a trial; and it is difficult to set up. Unfortunately, the free period often ends while this is going on.
In that respect, BowNow was really easy to get started and we were able to present in-house the expected outcomes after implementation during the trial period in an easy-to-understand manner. I think it is ideal for companies that are going to implement digital measures, or for companies that want to check actual use of tools.
